Telling the Truth

I’ve never been good at making other people feel good.
I’ve only ever been good at telling the Truth.

Meditation on the World

When I meditate I see the world as it should be. All that does not fit, I remove.

Death Hates Me

But I feel like Death may have finally decided to at least leave a voicemail of Her own if only to play with me and tease me back into hope of early release. No such luck, of course. She hates me.

Thelema, O.T.O., and Prostitution

Seriously, however, it is a very major problem when we believe that certain “crimes” are above the common law because we are Thelemites and “those things are not hurting anyone else”. And when we will tolerate one crime, it is nothing to tolerate any crime. Smoking a little crazy weed is no different than burning crosses in yards. Prostitution (so-called “sex work”) is no different than child molestation. Since we stand for nothing, we allow everything … until it bites us so close to home that people have to actually open their eyes to what unprincipled tolerance brings home to the table.

It’s interesting to me that the old Rosicrucian principles, on which so much of even our own Order is based, stated that one needed to follow the custom of the Country. I consider that Custom to include the laws of the land. And we have a multitude of initiates and many “high ranking” Order officials who are blatantly and unabashedly, by choice, in violation of the law of the land. I don’t mean those that have made mistakes, willingly or not, and have come to find new ways of living in order to not repeat their past. I mean those who go out of their way to ensure that they are “getting away with it” or “doing it to protest the law” (rather than work to change that law) or “doing it because ‘no one gets hurt’ (or ‘it’s consensual’), why shouldn’t I” or “it’s my right to do this, fuck off”.

With this Order, we participate in a subculture that is nothing more than an ill-tempered stepchild of a magical tradition that is rich with wonders and glory. And, given the atmosphere and attitudes that have been gestating for the last decade, it’s only going to get worse.

Social Values

Person A wishes to live in a society that holds Value X in common. This Value X is not considered to be infringing on any single individual’s rights or privileges, but it is the foundation of common interaction between those that reside in this society because they have made the choice to agree to this Value X in common. So, Person A looks at this Value X and decides whether or not they can abide by the decision to join this society and interact according to this Value X. If not, then they are free, without constraint or coercion, to go elsewhere and join in with a society that does not hold Value X in such a place of importance, if at all.

The obvious, here, is that Value X is something that must be upheld or one is asked to leave this society in favor of another society that is more to the preference of the person that cannot abide by Value X. Again, there is no coercion here. It is an accepted and common value here that is part and parcel of participating in this society. If one wishes not to abide by Value X, then they hold no place in this society and should, obviously, move on to a society that can and will accommodate their particular desire for some other value than Value X.

Bi-Curiousity

So, do I believe in “bi-curiousity”? Kinda. I believe there are people that want to explore outside of their own personal boundaries or the boundaries that have been imposed on them by society (whether in the form of upbringing or religion or something else). I believe that there are those that may have been born bisexual but are unaware of it until they have that first taste and realize that there is no difference in their own mind as to the nature of the experience based on some gender bent.

I’ve said before that sex is more than about Tab A being shoved into Slot B (or any variant thereof). And I believe that. I also believe that there are those who claim to be “bi” that are really straight and are just looking to shock people or otherwise rebel against the mores of their own conscience. I believe that there are those who claim to be “bi” that are really gay and just shoved into some heterosexual relationship due to pressure from family, or from the need for appearances at work, or some other reason. And I believe there are those who are really “bi” who deny themselves the ability to see past gender and into the true nature of themselves.

Unconditional Love

I love. I love unconditionally. (And I don’t stop loving just because I get dumped or someone “has an issue” with me) Or, rather, my only condition is that you have to be on my turf. Usually, people that love me for who I am don’t seem to mind that too much.

Children and Influences

Anyone who says that children aren’t affected by what they read or hear is a fool. Granted, I’m not talking about rock music calling down the devil. But I am talking about kids that don’t have enough personality or common sense (or just brains) to figure out that music is music and not a lifestyle by which to imitate. In fact, most music is a reactionary avenue and not even the musicians actual lifestyle outside of a marketing ploy to sell more records. Those that do try to imitate their own music usually end up in jail … or dead.

Games for Adults

You have to love a game which only point is to bring about the end the world, and has Lovecraftian creatures for Gods, and card names like “Questionable Virginity” or “Killer Party” or “Sanguimancer” (which I think I’m going to turn into my own version of art eventually … I love the name), and flavor text like “Beware the anger of a patient man.” or “There’s no tech support for doomsday machines.” or “Specimen consumed two lab assistants even after its brain was removed. Curious.”

Matrix of Life

One of the foundational philosophies behind the creation of Statutes and Incarnations was that each individual is a transformational matrix that consists of one’s thoughts, feelings, and experiences in addition to the constructs of the society in which the individual exists. This is the most basic philosophy of Life itself.

Thelemic Mythology

The problem with an exposition on thelemic mythology is that so many, if not, IMO, the majority, of “self-proclaimed thelemites” (i.e., those who have no fruit to tell from which tree they fell) have absolutely no idea of what our mythology consists. Even some that I consider “true Thelemites” don’t have a clue, but because we have no emphasis on it in any teaching. They know Nuit, Hadit and Ra-Hoor-Khuit from the Book of the Law. They might gather a couple of others from the Mass. But there is an amazing wealth of mythology wrapped up in our Holy Books as a whole (not to mention other not-so-canonical sources) that it is just mind-boggling to me that no one has ever, to my knowledge, ever truly approached it with any seriousness.

The Preditor Intinct

Sexual awareness produces the predator instinct that drives everything from the most basic sex drive to ambition in the boardroom. If there is one thing that could be said to truly shape the existence of humans, it is this awakening. Indeed, it is one of the first separators of childhood and adulthood. It is one of the most misunderstood and yet undervalued instincts in humans.

Blood Ties

It is said that we are as much a product of our blood as we are of our environment.

Enchanted Life

There are such things as dragons. Fairies and elves do exist. The Monster under the bed does wait to nibble on the toes of the child shivering under the covers. But, even more so, we exist in the essence of our own imagination. We create our own Universe every day, every moment in Time. We are gods in this Universe of our own making.

Thelema and the Order

You may equate Thelema and the Order, but, then, so many people erroneously do these days due to the propaganda of the Order. The Order is but an organization. Thelema is something that cannot be contained, or even represented adequately, by such.
