About The Codex

The Codex Pontifex is a small collection of work that I’ve produced over the years. I have taken the time to remove some of the older, unfinished materials that I used to leave out in the open and provide complete and more current work from a variety of sources both academic and personal. It will continue to expand over time.

Everything in the Codex is provided in iPaper format.

The Codex is made up of several different collections of interest—

Ethereal Lake 2.0

Ethereal Lake was an old book of 156 quotes on a variety of topics that I once wrote for my oldest son. Over time, I expanded that from a small book of one liners to a grab bag of quotes from almost a decade of being online, journaling my thoughts and my life in a semi-public venue.

The material that made up the original Ethereal Lake can now be found under the category tag Ethereal Lake 1.0 including the original introductions and dedication here.

Ethereal Lake 2.0 continues on from the original material and makes up the primary content of this website/blog and represents some of the best—at least in my own opinion—from the online journals. My hope is to go back someday and pick up the best from my earliest hand-written journals to add to this mix.

Ethereal Lake 2.0 is updated semi-monthly.

Religious Studies Collection [Browse]

A few of my favorite things … with apologies to Mary Poppins. Most of my writing falls into this collection. It is the subject of my blog, my school, my life, my work, and my goals in life. But these pieces stand out as independent writings from merely my thoughts and phantasmal musings. They are overtly thelemic in nature, though that may change over time. My work for the Society for Thelemic Literature is also found here along with my academic papers written during my time in school.

Fiction Collection [Browse]

Flesh and fantasy. But no Billy Idol. I’ve written fiction since I was in high school. I’m not particularly proud of too much of it. But I tend to wander around on the subject matter. Excepts from a couple of contemporary projects are also included here. Poetry is included here by default.
